A Shelom Helm is a medieval helmet commonly used by Eastern Europeans and by Ivan the Terrible. It is believed that the tall sloped design of the helmet is to mimic Russian architecture, as many churches in Russia require the sloped shape to keep snow from gathering ontop of it. This means a helmet like this can keep snow off the user even in heavy storms. It also makes it easy for a weapon to be deflected, similar to a Samurai's Kabuto.
