The Nodachi is a large Japanese sword. In Deadliest Warrior: The Game, it was one of the Close-Range weapons of the Samurai.

The nodachi was designed to be used against cavalry or for open field engagements. The length and weight of the blade made it harder to wield than shorter swords, and almost impossible to use in confined spaces. However, this same size and weight gave it cutting power exceeding that of the katana.
